| POKER WORLD FREE CHIP BONUS AND SITE REVIEW |

| PokerWorld.com PokerWorld is very unique in that there are only a handful of players on at any given time! Usually only around 20 or so players are in the Hold'Em rooms (compared to the tens of thousands at other poker sites). At first this may seem horrible and questionable as to the quality of the site - but when you think of how much marketing sites like PokerStars, PartyPoker, and PacificPoker do, it becomes more understandble. Less players also means you get to really know the players, and their style. It also means you know who to stay away from, who is dead money, etc. It is also beneficial in that the turnout for tournaments with guaranteed prize money is usually very small. Typically around 20 people will enter a tournament with a buy-in of $5 for a $500 guaranteed prize pool! This is the biggest thing going for PokerWorld. My second day on PokerWorld, I entered the $1/$2 table rooms, and made over $500 just playing 1 table. The level here on PokerWorld is unbelievably low. I don't know how to expand on this fact. Basically players play the 3rd and 4th-rate hands. If a flop is Q2J rainbow, and your opponant has J9, you can be sure that they will be betting into you. The actually believe that their hand is the best, and will win. PokerWorld also hosts many freerolls, which are much better than PokerStars' as they pay out better, and a lot less people play in them (hundreds compared to thousands). PokerWorld has a wide selection of tables (.02/.04 all the way up to 4/8), has bonus award points, and great features such as NO RAKE on small pots and small amount of players! I haven't actually seen a rake for about 500 hands.. if you play with 3 people on a $1/$2 NL table, you won't see a rake either. On the negative side, PokerWorld is shady in many areas: I had signed up for a tournament, and shortly after, the site went down for several hours (I tried repeadedly to reconnect). I was never refunded my money, and after contacting their live technical support, I was told to contact an e-mail. I e-mailed this contact explaning what had happened, and never received a response. In addition, their software is fairly ugly, often slow, and quite buggy! For example, in tournaments the displayed blinds are always incorrect, and even worse, they do not display which tournaments turn out to be REBUYS! I've lost quite a bit of money finding out afterwards that a tournament turned out to be a rebuy instead of a standard tournament! Overall, PokerWorld is not recommended to play on unless you are an experienced online player and would like to play in their tournaments. Their tournaments, again, are worth playing in, as very few people enter the guaranteed prize money |
